Premier sound design boutique Output have just announced the latest addition to their lineup of outstanding instrument software, Analog Brass & Wind – “a virtual instrument that breaks 400 years of tradition by supercharging orchestral sounds with legendary synths.”
Output have just revealed their latest creation, Analog Brass and Wind, an outstanding plug-in for merging traditional brass and wind sounds with tones and malleability of analog synths.
A completely unique plug-in, the Analog Brass & Wind follows the release of the company’s Analog Strings software last year, which similarly combined virtual orchestral instruments with synthesised tones.
Inspired by the sounds created by artists ranging from Bon Iver to S U R V I VE, the plug-in allows you to breathe new life into classic orchestral brass and wind sounds with its advanced built-in modulation routing, dual tape loopers, dual arpeggiators, flux sequencing, four macro sliders, effects and heaps more.
All these can be used to create anything from traditional orchestral tones, to completely whacked-out synth-y madness.
As with all of Outputs plug-ins, the interface is super user-friendly, and the workflow is smooth and intuitive. Analog Brass & Wind requires Native Instrument’s Kontakt plugin to run, and will set you back around $199.
