KRK are officially shipping their latest generation Rokit G4 monitors. The popular speaker makers unveiled their new range at this year’s NAMM show, which are available in 5-inch, 7-inch 8-inch and 10-inch sizes. KRK has packed in a lot of new technology into their new Rokits and the new series appears to be everything but a facelift.
KRK is officially shipping their latest Rokit G4 series monitors, which boast new Kevlar woofers and tweeters and a customisable graphic EQ.
The G4 series comes packed with a host of new design features, including a new Kevlar woofer and tweeter encased in an Iso-foam low resonance enclosure. Each model is fitted with efficient Class D power amplifiers, which improve audio direction and integrity, as well as a built-in brick wall limiter which kicks in at maximum volume to protect the system.
KRK has also taken the time to include versatility measures so that producers can adjust their monitors to real-world situations. On the rear of each speaker is a new DSP-driven LED graphic EQ, which offers 25 preset settings that can help to adapt to trouble spots and different acoustic environments. This new customisation can also be used to modify the EQ response to adjust for creating, mixing and listening purposes.
KRK is also soon to release an Audio Tools App which will be able to adjust EQ, polarity, levels and assist with monitor placement and crossover setting assistance.
It looks as though KRK had put in a great deal of effort into keeping their place as go-to monitor makers. For more information head over to KRK’s website.
