Following on from their widely-loved Mother-32, Moog have today announced Drummer From Another Mother (DFAM) the “first addition to the Mother eco-system of semi-modular analogue synthesisers”.
DFAM shares the look, feel and dimensions of the Mother-32, but serves as a more dedicated percussion synthesiser.
Moog have unveiled Drummer from Another Mother, the first addition to a presumed series of semi-modular analogue synths. What could be next?
Rather than behaving like a standard drum machine, the DFAM has its heart firmly set in synthesis. A pair of oscillators with square and triangle waveforms, a white noise generator and an external audio input control the bulk of the sound, while envelope filters and a juicy patchbay provide near-endless customisation.
