The KORG Lecacy Collection of virtual synths has been updated to encompass more of their pedigree of classic synths, this time including the ARP Odyssey.
KORG have just released an updated version of their Legacy Collection plugin bundle, which now features the legendary ARP Odyssey.
Impressively, the Legacy Collection provides a cohesive timeline of KORG’s evolution in synthesis, starting with the duophonic ARP Odyssey (1972), which KORG reissued in 2015, the monophonic MS-20 (1978), the polyphonic Polysix (1981), the Mono/Poly (1981), the first workstation synth, the M1 (1988), and the Wavestation (1990).
The bundle also includes the MDE-X – a multi-effects processor that includes compression, EQ, reverb, delay and modulation.
The synths are created with Component Modelling Technology (CMT) which, digitises the components in the original instrument, resulting in a more nuanced emulation of the hardware.
