Digital audio has left us with a dearth of imperfection. The Analog Pro plugin has stepped into the breach to add good old fashioned saturation, warble and crustiness to in the box production.
Sometimes, we all need a little imperfection in our lives. The Analog Pro plugin simulates tapes and turntables, adding some vintage vibes to digital audio.
All in all, it’s a pretty simple affair, with the tape setting adding mechanical pitch shifting to taste. In the vinyl setting, you can dial in crackle and tailor vintage sound filtering and saturation.
Here’s how Initial Audio describe the plugin’s controls:
“Analog Pro has a variety of user adjustable controls including Noise Level, Noise Type, Impulse Type, Impulse Mix, Emphasis, Stereo, Lowcut, Highcut, Wow, Flutter and Amount, giving plenty of scope for the user to adjust the sound to their liking.”
