Humble Audio has just unveiled the Quad Operator Eurorack synth module. The clean, utilitarian looks are in keeping with the brand name, but it sounds anything but.
Humble Audio have released the Quad Operator synth module. This FM synth is capable of conjuring the most far flung sounds, but with a user friendly interface.
The module is pretty knob heavy, which could be a little intimidating. Yet it operates almost like a mixing desk, with each of the four operators assigned identical controls, much like channel strips.
Unlike other of the more famed FM synths, there’s no deep diving into menus: it’s a one knob per control affair.
Being a Eurorack module, connectivity is high on the agenda. Each of the four operators have separate outputs, for even more complexity of sounds. Plus, there are touches that will be more familiar to analog fans, such as emulated sine, triangle, square and saw wave shapes.
