Michael Clifford – of Aussie pop rock band Five Seconds of Summer – has teamed with Gibson to release a Signature Melody Maker. It features a distinct colour scheme and the classic double cutaway body shape.
Gibson have collaborated with Five Seconds of Summer guitarist Michael Clifford to deliver a Signature Melody Maker, in an homage to Joan Jett.
Gibson elaborates on the technical aspects of the guitar in the following:
“The body is crafted of swamp ash for its resonant tonal characteristics and moderate weight. The rounded, maple neck profile provides incredible rigidity and sustain while imparting a smooth and comfortable feel.”
The pickup is a Burstbucker 3, which can be run in full humbucker mode and can also be split with the push-pull volume knob for a brighter single coil voice.
