The latest of Fender’s Parallel Universe series is here – say hello to the Tele Thinline Super Deluxe.
The Parallel Universe product line continues to unearth gold. The Tele Thinline Super Deluxe is a limited edition model that’s inspired by Thinline and Gretsch designs.
This new axe features semi-hollow alder Thinline body, with double white binding, lacquer finish and silver sparkle pickguard. The retro look is topped off with the rosewood fingerboard – complete with block inlays – sitting atop a “Deep C” shaped neck.
Soundwise, it excels at chimey country twang, but the TV Jones humbucking pickups have enough bite to easily push it into rock territory.
The tangerine electric comes not long after the release of the Troublemaker Tele, which raised eyebrows with by borrowing a few traits from the Gibson Les Paul.
