Elektron have just revealed their most affordable instrument to date. Model:Samples is a sample based groovebox that’s packed with 300 preset sounds from Splice.
Model:Samples is Elektron’s new take on a sample based groovebox. It’s ready to go with a slew of presets and it won’t even break the bank.
Here’s how the company sum up their new creation:
“You get pretty much all of the Elektron superpowers in a sleek, lightweight, and accessible package. Loads of useful presets and loads of space for your own sounds. The controls are right there at your fingertips. A truly plug-and-play bundle of joy!”
The included sounds contain everything from standard drum kit sounds to the unrecognisable. There is, however, 1GB of storage for your own custom samples.
In a first for the company, the tactile controls on the front panel are one function per knob, which bypasses a lot of complex menu searching. There are six, velocity sensitive pads for live performance and a 16 step sequencer, which can be chained up to 64 steps.
