Electro-Harmonix Launches the Mod Rex Polyrhythmic Modulator Pedal

New York stompbox legends Electro-Harmonix has released the Mod Rex Polyrhythmic Modulator pedal. If that sounds like a mouthful, it’s because it does a lot of heavy lifting in the modulation department, giving you vibrato, flanger, chorus, phaser and more.

A one-stop shop for all your modulation needs: the Mod Rex Polyrhythmic Modulator from Electro-Harmonix dishes up a swag of swirling, wobbling and filtered sounds in one pedal.

The Mod Rex packs in four independent modulation sections that are synchronised in time. Alongside the aforementioned modulation effects, the stompbox features tremolo and a panning control for left to right movement.

It also exhibits some synthy characteristics, with high pass, low pass and band pass filters, with four LFO shapes per section to further enhance the pedal’s tone shaping capabilities.

The deep tempo section allows the user to choose a different rhythmic increment for each modulation section for polyrhythmic fun and can be synced via MIDI to an external clock source.
