Boutique pedal masters, Dwarfcraft Devices have released the Eau Claire Thunder Gold Standard. Unashamedly heavy and made with premium, vintage components.
Dwarfcraft Devices have revealed the Eau Claire Thunder Gold Standard. Made from vintage components, it’s as thick a distortion as you’re ever likely to hear.
The company describe the design of the pedal as follows:
“Most of you know that we don’t much go for “vintage mojo” or whatever around here. But sometimes curiosity gets the better of you and you order some NOS Fairchild 2n5133 transistors to try out and you kind of fall in love. Then you order some germanium diodes, because at this point, why tf not.”
Their pursuit of these vintage components certainly pays off which deep and smooth distortion, but excels with subtly driven tones as well.
This release also redefines “limited edition.” There’s going to be less than a hundred made, so jump on it while you can.
