Dreadbox, a company which until now has specialised in synths and modules has just revealed Hypnosis. It ticks all the right boxes when it comes to 80s nostalgia, combining reverb, delay and modulation in one unit.
The Hypnosis time effects processor is packed with ambience and wooziness. With looks and sounds directly from the 80s, its just the thing for reminiscing.
Despite its size, the unit’s controls are spaced out, looking to encourage a lot of hands on performance. It has variable input and output gain control, so it can work at mic level, or be slotted into modular synth system.
The three sounds include an analog spring reverb, complete with a unique pitch modulation circuit; a stereo chorus/flanger with three LFO waves; and three flavours of stereo digital delay, with a freeze function.
