Dave Smith Instruments have officially released their Prophet Rev2 Desktop Module, a new 16-voice analogue synthesiser.
As proud owners of the keyboard version, this is a pretty damn exciting prospect.

Dave Smith Instruments have revealed their latest; a desktop build of the renowned Prophet series, packed with a couple of new surprises.
Having previously released modules for the Prophet-6, the Prophet 12 and the OB-6, the Rev2 Desktop Module should hardly come as a surprise.
A few enhancements differentiate this beast from the Rev2. Firstly waveshape modulation, allowing you to manually vary the pulsewidth of any of the four waveforms. Secondly a polyphonic step sequencer has been included, allowing six notes per step over up to 64 steps total.
Head to DSI’s website for more details.
