D’Angelico has released the Deluxe Bob Weir Bedford. It mixes a striking retro aesthetic with the tonal signature of the Grateful Dead legend.
The guitar is fitted with two stacked Seymour Duncan P-90 pickups, with a Lollar Blonde single coil in the middle. This configuration is at the heart of “Weir’s concept of a bright and clear tonal powerhouse.”
Interestingly, alongside the standard 5-way blade for pickup selection, there’s an added blender pot to mix in whichever pickup isn’t selected.
Buildwise, it features a solid basswood body, with a maple and walnut set through neck, topped off with a pau ferro fingerboard.
