Bitty is a Pocket Sized Drum Machine that’s been Launched on Kickstarter

Bitty is a diminutive drum machine and synth that’s seeking backing for production on Kickstarter. Despite it size, it’s packed with an expanding library of sounds. It’s also louder than you might expect.

Say hello to Bitty – a gateway drug for people who want to make beats. It’s tiny, but crams in more features than you might expect. You can also back it on Kickstarter.

Here’s what the creators of Bitty have to say about the functionality of their product:

You can play the drums or melodies manually (which is better for playing along with an acoustic instrument), or you can use the left knob to select patterns and change the speed to make dance music or hip hop beats.

The pros will get a kick out of the sonic character. The output is 12 bit and it sounds punchy and crunchy like the early MPC drum machines from the 80s and 90s.”

As you can hear in the demo, the 12-bit grittiness and character is abundant.
