Mastering

Mastering has become more important than ever as more musicians take on the task of mixing and recording at home. We offer a simple but very powerful approach to mastering (all mixes and production work on the site was mastered here).

We have two approaches to mastering: one is through a discreet analogue path using subtle compression and a quarter inch tape machine and the other is purely digital. It comes down to taste and what the tracks need. Both options use very handy plug-ins to manage peaks, stereo width and EQ.

FAQ

We charge $60 + GST per track for unattended mastering sessions. Revisions are charged out at our standard hourly rate.

I need a 50% deposit to book your session and lead times are usually 3-5 working days. On average I normally spend about an hour on each track and work for about 8 hours in a day. I’ll always give a session a fresh listen the next day before sending it on to you.

The entire process can be done via FTP and we recommend You Send It. It’s free and it works.
