Week 8
Posted: November 15, 2010 | Author: radisafi | Filed under: Making Enmore Audio | Tags: recording studio design, slot resonators | Leave a comment »The sexiest air con ducts you’ve ever seen as well as some serious looking slot resonators. The sparky has been through as well wiring up the 12V system.
Week 7 (not really)
Posted: November 8, 2010 | Author: radisafi | Filed under: Making Enmore Audio | Tags: carpenter, saw, studio gear | Leave a comment »I’m saying week 7 because my last entry was week 6 but we calculated that between public holidays and other dramas (gear boxes, flu, family crisis), Darren has only been here for 22 days. So… here you will find a pile of Fletcher insulation a mile high as well as a really cool router, some framing work for the cloth panels and other some such bits and pieces. Are we on schedule? There never really was schedule so yes, I suppose we are.
Custom Plates – to the extreme!
Posted: November 1, 2010 | Author: radisafi | Filed under: Making Enmore Audio | Tags: custom plate design, studio plate | Leave a comment »Seriously, I’ve got no spare time at all but… what if the cable plates were custom shaped to the dimensions of the room you were in. Just a thought.
Week 6
Posted: November 1, 2010 | Author: radisafi | Filed under: Making Enmore Audio | Tags: neve compressor, studio electrics | Leave a comment »Between waiting for custom made air con duct outlets and ordering the beachcomber flame fabric that will cover most of the walls and ceilings, last week saw the electrics for power and lights roughed in as well as some very serious doors hung. Doors can say a lot about a place and these are the kind that won’t take shit from anyone. They will fuck you up, cut you down and bleed you if called up to. We’ve also brought in our vintage NEVE compressor which will be very handy on treating some of those nasty vocals… Recording Studios are so much fun.
